About
Established in October 2012, The French Quarter is a Business Improvement Area (BIA) nestled in the cultural heart of Edmonton’s French speaking population. Stretching east to Bonnie Doon Centre and west along Edmonton’s popular Whyte Avenue, across the MillCreek Bridge to 97st. The Quarter’s North boundary is 90 Avenue.
Although in its infancy stages, don’t let the newly established district fool you. Already rich and diverse in character, this community has a certain “Joie de vivre” where Edmontonians, regardless of language, can appreciate a part of Edmonton’s French heritage.
The French Quarter will lead this areas revitalization, leveraging its resources to beautify the district, attract, retain and promote areas commerce and encourage the development and utilisation of its great outdoor spaces.
Our goal is to create a walkable, trendy district whereby we can further promote local businesses and services while continuing to cultivate this area as a preferred destination to live, shop, work and play.
